Liberty Utilities
To expand its educational outreach and highlight its role as a sustainable utility provider, Liberty Utilities asked CORE Design Studio to design and build an interactive exhibit for its new customer lobby. The installation features engaging displays that explain the urban water cycle, the company’s role in resource management, and practical ways individuals can save energy and water.
The exhibits include hands-on interactives and video animations activated by rotating valves and physical manipulation. Together, these elements help visitors understand where our water comes from, how to conserve it at home, and how wastewater is treated before being safely and sustainably returned to waterways and aquifers.
My role was to support the team in shaping the exhibit’s overall design and its interactive components, with a focus on engaging visitors who primarily come to the lobby to pay their water bills. The content needed to be simple, precise, and accessible. To achieve this, we combined the client’s clear written messaging with visual animations, creating a seamless experience that made complex processes easy to understand at a glance.
